Barry Cryer’s ‘favourite parrot joke’ has been making people’s day all over again
Barry Cryer was one of the finest comedians and gag writers of his generation.
And the great man, who died in 2022 aged 86, has been making people laugh all over again after his ‘favourite parrot joke’ – well, it was at the time – went viral after it was shared by writer and biographer @JamesAHogg2 who is very good at unearthing and sharing this sort of thing.
First time I met Barry Cryer I was terribly nervous and to put me at ease he told me this joke, which remains my favourite.
